Thirty years selling the best stories in print to the brands that pay for them. Now he’s telling the one story the world spent a century trying to ban.

30+years closing deals in media
2countries: the UK and the US

From the paddock to the mosh pit to the final frontier. Now he’s telling the oldest story of all: the sacred plant.

Peter Morgan learned the trade at IPC Magazines, Britain’s publishing powerhouse (later IPC Media, Time Inc. UK and TI Media, and now part of Future plc), where he was handed his own advertising section of Horse & Hound.

From there he went on to sell some of the most famous pages in British print: the New Musical Express and Melody Maker, the music papers that broke bands, along with PGA Golf Magazine and Star Trek Monthly, where he ran the advertising. On the sales team at The Voice newspaper he was promoted fast and brought in Legal & General, one of Britain’s biggest insurers. Then came Aspire Magazine, which he published himself: running the advertising, managing the team, overseeing the editorial and balancing the bottom line.

When Peter crossed the Atlantic, he kept winning. He sold for the Hartford Courant, the oldest continuously published newspaper in the United States, and for the Hartford Advocate, then set a company record recruiting medical surgeons at CHG Healthcare, the nation’s largest physician staffing company. He went on to build a career as an expert in digital workplace communications, selling to executives who don’t hand out meetings.

Good Weed News is all of it at once. A publisher who knows a story when he sees one. A salesman who knows exactly what a sponsor needs. And a lifelong comedy fan who knows the truth hits harder when it’s funny. He built the whole operation himself, from the first fact sheet to the final cut.
